Elevate is a small business serving a critical niche in the nonprofit sector. Our unique team model allows us to provide affordable and impactful foundation fundraising strategy and grant writing capacity to our approximately 90 clients. Our clients work in a wide variety of issue areas and typically have annual budgets anywhere between $1 million and $12 million, although a growing number of clients are significantly larger as well.
Director - Institutional Development (referred to internally as Directors), lead 4-5 client teams working with nonprofit organizations. For this role, Elevate seeks skilled institutional fundraising professionals with the confidence, flexibility, and persistence to coach clients on best-practices in fundraising strategy, grant writing, financials, and program evaluation while overseeing junior staff who produce compelling proposals and manage detailed grants calendars. Strong candidates have at least four years of experience in foundation fundraising, including writing and submitting grants for nonprofits, managing teams of junior staff, and developing and executing an effective fundraising strategy.
